November 2010 Family Pictures

Here are two of the pictures that we had done this week. It was an adventure. Parker had developed this little clown smile. Taylor was very excited to be out in nature (This is putting him bouncing off the walls-kindly). My poor Bailey kept getting mud on her new boots. The world almost came to an end. That is what happens when a child uses some of their own money to purchase something that they want. Anyways, when are not family photos an adventure with kidos. They are sweet and help cherish the memories of their childhoods.

I know that I haven't blogged in forever. I don't even remember how I use to make time for it. I have so many pictures that I want to post but I haven't gotten around to. I just put these on my computer and so I wanted to post them now, while I was still sitting here. This summer we went to Idaho for my little brother's wedding. While we were at his reception, we stepped outside to get these done. The photographer did a great job!

Ward Famous Melons

This summer we grew a 40 x 50 foot Melon garden on some friends property. According to Tom it is not worth growing a garden unless it is ALL melons. So I had my own little garden in our back yard with our vegetables. We love gardening as a family. This year we grew Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Honey Dew, and Crenshaw Melons. They were all so good but we are officially meloned out. We were able to share with lots of people which is always fun. I say Ward Famous because the wonderful people from our ward were recipients and they all loved them too. The Watermelon were sooo sweet. Nothing like a home grown Watermelon to help you enjoy the summer.





Our biggest Watermelon was about 30 pounds. Addy loved to see if she was strong enough to carry them. Lucky for her we had Cantaloupe that she was able to carry.

Lizzard Huntin'

Nothing like a hot summer day to go lizard hunting at Grandma and Grandpa's. The kidos had fun catching lizards with a homemade lizard catcher that their Grandpa taught them how to make out of a long weed. They caught about 15.

By the end of the day the kids either tamed the lizzards or they were so exhausted by being malled that they just stayed put. Parker made a lizzard tie.

12 YEARS

These are some pictures that Tom's dad took of us the day before our anniversary. Tom's parents babysat our kidos for us to go out on a date. We went out to eat at the new Texas Road House and then saw the movie Inception. Super good movie. We had a good time.
I am very blessed to be married to such a wonderful man. I love him more now than when we were first married. He is a fun and loving daddy and our children are very lucky to have him as a father.

Friends

In June, I had a chance to visit a friend from Jr. High: Rochelle. We had some fun times together. Her family was a great example to me. The last time we saw each other was a few days before I moved to California for college in July of 1997. I have spoken to her on the phone maybe 2 or 3 times after that. Since our vacation to Idaho took us so close to her home, we took a day and drove to Utah to see her and to meet her husband and beautiful little boys. Oh, and don't forget the dog Addi. I think that Adelyn was a little confused. We had a great time.

Memorial Day

We feel blessed to be able to live by the Sacramento National Cemetery. It is the Arlington of the West. It is actually bigger than Arlington National Cemetery in square footage. We take as many opportunities as we can to visit this cemetery to help our children be grateful for all of the Men and Women that have Served our country to keep the freedoms that we have. We are so blessed to live in such a wonderful country. Even if we don't agree with everything that goes on in the government, we can have a say and an opportunity to make changes by standing up for what we believe.
