Birthday at FENTONS

Our family loves going to Fentons. We don't normally eat dinner there, we just get the huge Banana Special at all share it. It is huge! Our whole family can barely finish it. For Parker's birthday we took the family out to eat and our friends the Geislers joined us. We had dinner and ice cream. Parker wasn't Sherbet, and that is just what he had - A Cheeseburger and Sherbet. He loved it. On the way there, He kept asking if they were going to sing to him. He kept asking how they would know that it was his birthday. I told him that we would tell them. He had a pretty good birthday. We were going to go overnight at the snow, but Taylor was sick so we had to postpone that trip until another week. Fentons was a good substitute.

Parker is 5

It's kind of hard to go through old pictures and realize that they don't stay small forever. In fact they grow bigger and get older every day. This little guy is such a blessing in our lives. He came to us with a smile on his face and it hasn't really ever left. He is so happy and easy going. He is a smart little boy that is eager to learn, but he still doesn't want to go to school - at least until he is 5 and 1/2 because he likes staying home with mom. His best friends are Josh and Sterling and they always have a great time when ever they are together. At this time in his life he doesn't really care for girls, except his sisters and even then he tolerates them. He is actually really good with his little sister. He loves to help me cook and won't let him tell him that I don't need help. He just scoots his little chair up and puts his hand on mine while I stir or cook something. He loves breakfast and usually demands it as soon as he wakes up. He barely even opens his eyes before he says "Mom! What's for breakfast?" He is also our comedian. We were in the car a week ago and he managed to kick his brother in the head (Not Very Nice!!). When I was questioning him he just said - "Mom! I have the solution to this whole problem. The solution is I DID not do it." That wasn't exactly right because he did do it but the way he said it was hilarious. He is always coming up with something funny to say and if he doesn't have any new material, we get the old why did the chicken cross the road. However, we can never get it right because the reason always changes.
He is such a joy. Thanks Parker for Loving your mommy! HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Christmas Jammies

Every year our kidos get PJ's for Christmas and they get to open thme on Christmas Eve. They are pretty excited about getting to open that first gift. This is just a quick picture that I was able to get after they tried them on.

Our Visit with Santa

We had a visit with Santa before our Ward Christmas Party. Parker and Taylor just want a Bokugon (I hope that this is how to spell this). Bailey, well, she just sat on his lap for the benifit of Addy. I don't know how well it worked....



We did get her to wave. She was not going to touch that man.
She reluctantly sat on her dad's lap while he sat on Santa's lap :)
She decided it was OK to give him a high five so she could get her candy cane.

I think that she will stick to sitting on her Mama's lap!

Bailey's First Recital and Band Concert

Bailey had her first band concert and her first piano recital. She plays the clarinet for band. She preformed the piano and clarinet at her recital. She did a great job. She played Away in a Manger on the piano and did excellent. She has been working hard on her clarinet as well.

My Parkey Boy!

This little guy is my little angel. I kicked him out of my room the other day so I could take a shower. He told me that it was OK if he stayed in because he wouldn't look. I told him that he needed to go play in his room and I would be quick. I closed and locked the door behind him. When I was dressed, I opened the door to find him waiting for me and he fell asleep. It was so cute!

MERRY CHRISTMAS


I didn't get Christmas cards out this year because we haven't had a family picture taken in a long while. In fact, our little Addy isn't in a family picture on our walls. I need to take care of that - in the meantime, these are pictures I took on Christmas Sunday. It isn't easy to get 4 kidos to cooperate taking pictures, let alone when you are running late for church.

Singing Christmas Songs

This year, Bailey and Taylor's school had a Christmas Craft night. Taylor's class was part of the entertainment. They sang Christmas songs up on the stage. They were so cute!

Downtown Christmas Tree Lighting

It's tradition to attend the Downtown Christmas Tree lighting. Every year I crack up because my kids always wonder how they get a tree that big in the park by the library. I tell them that it grows there. They never beleive me. I guess that they don't notice it with out the lights and decorations. Addy really liked it and would not stop touching it. If there is one child who can destroy a whole towns Christams Tree - It would be Adelyn Maseda!

Silveyville Christmas Tree Farm

Taylor had a field trip to the chritmas tree farm with his second grade class. I was able to go with him. We had a great time. I am so blessed to be able to stay home with my kids to enjoy times like these.

Chritmas Decorating

It is always so fun to decorate for Christmas. This year Tom did a great job hanging up our christmas lights. This is the first year since we moved that we have done them. It took him a long time because he hung them on both stories. Bailey and Taylor were his big helpers and were aloud to get on the roof with him. I had to stay inside for this!! Tom ended up sick the next day and missed church from being in the cold for so long. He is better now - What a good husband. We Found a great deal on a tree and it leaned up against our wall in our living room for several days. We finally finished getting everything up.
