Why I Get Nothing Done!

For some reason, This week she is on a rampage. For those of you follow my blog, it may seem like she is always on a rampage. Well, she kind of is, however, this week she is in rare form and it is only Wednesday. Monday started as a normal day, thought I would get some exercise in. Great day! Then the tornado hit. We were having the missionaries over for dinner and our home teachers. I was hurring to get things done before I had to pick up my kidos from school. I had a pan of rolls rising. I came upstairs for a moment and when I went down stairs I found the whole pan of dough in a huge ball. She was so proud of herself. I told her the what she had done was wrong and started fixing the rolls so they could rise. She must of thought, :I'll show her." She came upstairs and in a matter of two minutes found my lipstick and smeared it all over her face and hands and all over my closet mirrors. I hurried and cleaned her up. We got the kidos from school and then she decided to scribble all over the dinning room table with marker. Not to big of a mess. I looked up from scrubing the table to find her on top of the table literally swinging from the chandalere. Crazy kid. I can just see it being ripped from the 17 foot celing and crushing her. People must think that I don't discipline this little one. You may see why I am a fan of locking her in her room with a movie while I try to get something accomplished.

Pink metalic paint that was up in my closet. Not sure how she managed to get it down but she did and had fun with it. Today, I am grateful that most of my house has woodfloors. As much as I complain about having woodfloors in my bedroom, this is a day to show me why. For my LITTLE MESS MAKER. I also am glad that I am at a point in my life that I can grab the camera!!!

I had my 31st birthday on Feb first. Tom and my kidos had a little birthday party for me. We had cake and played quick draw, a game that Bailey planned out. I love my family!

Little Snakies

It has been pretty rainy here lately. Adelyn has been crazy with the little dried worms on the sidewalks. The first time she found one, she let out a little scream of excitement and exclaimed that she found a snakey. She carried them around with her until I convinced her to put them in a little baggie.

We had a surprise birthday party for my dad. We were glad that we were able to trick him. We had a great time eating dinner and enjoying cake. He is a great grandpa. My

kidos just love him. We are so glad that he is our Dad and Papa. He just finished Radiation for cancer. The dortor thinks that his cancer is gone. We feel so blessed the the Lord heard many prayers.

Snow Trip 2010

We went to the snow in January. Our kids have been waiting for so long. We went when we were suppose to have a big storm. We raced the storm up to Tahoe and made it before it hit. We played until we were freezing and wet and them came home. One of the great things about California. We are in between the mountains and the beach.

Addy really liked the snow. She kept trying to lick it. She was licking the snow for so long I seriously thought that she had her tongue stuck. She didn't!

Life is an ANDVENTURE with ADDY

The Words Adventure and Adelyn mean close to the same thing. Each morning, I wake up thinking I wonder what fun we will have today, what mess will be made, or what 2 year old adventure we will have. Trust me, I have had lots of experience with two year olds. I use to teach preschool to 12 two year olds at one time and I have had 3 (before Addy) kids that have all been two. I have survived! None of this has prepared me for this wonderful little girl. She is amazing to say the least. She makes us laugh so much and I usually end up spending time cleaning up her crazy messes each day. She loves to empty her big brothers underwear and sock drawer hourly because she knows that he keeps his special toys in there away from where no one can get to them. He didn't fool her. She loves shampoo whether she is in the bathtub or out. So with that, this morning I was paying some bills on the computer and I heard the water running in the kids' bathroom. I knew that it was her playing in the water and making a huge mess like she does daily. I really don't mind that she plays in the water, sometimes my thinking is whatever will keep her occupied. I finally went in there to check on her and found this......

I guess that she really wanted a bath. She had the water running and a toothbrush with her. She also had thrown her diaper away like a big girl but she also decided that her PJ's belong in the garbage as well. She is one funny girl.



Introducing the BIG GIRL BED. She is so excited to have a princess bed - that is what she calls it. Over all, she has done pretty well but we have had Desitin and Lotion smeared all over her room. We have had lots of cloths dumped out on her floor along with every toy imaginable. We have had a few other messes that I won't mention - They were not funny at all! :)

Out with the Old and In with the New

We had a wonderful New Year's Eve. We enjoyed our time with some good friends. We played some fun games and ate some good food. What more can one ask for. We were able to spend our evening with our kidos and some wondeful friends that we don't always get to see very often. 2009 was a great year for our family and I hope that 2010 is even better. I hope that it is a wonderful year for all of my friends and family who read our blog as well! Jeffery R. Holland had such an amazing article in the Jan. Ensign that really touched my heart. It has helped me to focus my life for this new year. He said, "The past is to be learned from but not lived in." He also said, "Don't miss the here and now and tomorrow because we are so trapped in the there and then and yesterday.." He says that the best is yet to be and that we should look forward with faith for the future. It was really AMAZING!!
